Nutrition

So, part of the topic on Self is nutrition. I hope to keep this blog going for a year. My schedule won’t allow me to make entries daily – if I set myself up to do that, I won’t complete the assignment. So I have until September 19 to research health topics to find the best suggestions out there. Then over the next 11 months I need to figure out which ones I can incorporate into my daily routine. I guess that means benchmarking where I am right now so we can see if I improve at all over the year. So I’ll weigh myself and do a self-assessment. Most of that is easy. I don’t exercise at all so I can only improve from here. I eat portions that are too large, I love sweets and pizza and bread and doughnuts and rice and potatoes! I don’t eat a lot of meat but I am not a vegetarian. I want to be but I haven’t disciplined myself to that extent yet.

At any rate, the link above is to a great site with some folks doing what I think is important work. Where else should I look for information on nutrition for my age group? What is the best plan for getting back into my clothes but also feeling healthy, not just focusing on losing (and then regaining) 15 or 20 pounds?
