Busy weekend... and a couple "before & almost there" pics!

How was everyones weekend? Mine was good, busy, but good! My best friend came over on Friday night for dinner and to hang out… we had pizza with red peppers, chicken, & spinach.. was super yum! I haven’t been snapping pics of my eats over the couple days ’cause i’ve just had too much on the go & my youngest seems to be on a sleep strike, so i’m feeling the effects of very little sleep… blah!

Yesterday I went out with my mom, her bf, & sis, we went shopping and out for lunch at Swiss Chalet. I ended up ordering lemon water, the Rotisserie Chicken Club Wrap a lightly chargrilled flour tortilla filled with moist Rotisserie Chicken, Swiss cheese, smoked bacon, lettuce, tomato & Garlic Mesquite mayo. was SO good! And a side salad with balsamic dressing on the side… I ate all the salad with about 1/2 of the dressing, and ate 1/2 of my wrap. Brought the other 1/2 home where my oldest daughter happily inhaled it… LOL!!

That kept me full for a while, so by the time I was hungry I was craving my yogurt with granola, banana, etc… so had that for dinner, and snacked on some cobbler later on last night. This morning was some Fiber One cereal with 1% milk, banana. Then lots of snacks.. an apple, a grapefruit, 4 triscuits with a lite Laughing Cow Cheese, and now about 1/3 cup of trail mix… dinner tonight is roasted chicken, potatoes of some kind (should really do that soon!) and brocolli & cauliflower.

I bought myself a pr. of gorgeous black leather pointy toe sz. 7 Steve Madden boots, *LOVE* them! Look fabulous with my jeans, and the heel is perfect! I’m 5′8″, so don’t really think I need much more height, and can’t walk in heels anyways… lol!! So.. a 2″ heel is good for me.. And I can’t do the pointy heels.. my sister has lots of high heels and I have no idea how she does it.. insanity! The best part? I was dropping off a couple garbage bags of the girls clothes to donate at Value Village and found these for $15!! They look as though they had been worn once.. i’ve never really bought much used before, but was thrilled to find these beauties!!

How about you? Do you buy used? Do you like to check out garage sales, thrift shops, etc.. for hidden treasures? If so, what has been your best find? I’d love to hear!!

Here’s a couple shots of my boots!

And the heel I can walk in…

I’m in the process of ‘breaking them in”… i’ve never worn a pointy toe like this before… so wish me luck. LOL!

I also bought some GAP, American Eagle, & Old Navy shirts/sweaters! All are either xs or s!! Love seeing that on my tags! lol! Definitely worth all my hard work! Next i’ll need a couple prs of jeans and i’m good to go! I’m thinking i’m probably a 5 maybe? My 7’s are all loose now and have to be belted… guess i’ll find out when I shop for jeans…

Anyways…. anyone wanna see a before/almost there pic? I absolutely *HATE* my before pic… ick. I look so bad I think… (it was pre-shower, and in old pjs that I wore through my pregnancy and nursed in.. *blush*) But.. such is life right?

So… here’s my “before”… this is Christmas so i’m going to guess I was about 170ish… I didn’t officially weigh myself till mid May… and that was at 165lbs. I was definitely more at Christmas.. so who knows… k… ready?

I can’t believe i’m posting this pic…

Ugh.

Ok..

Here goes…

*holding breath*

And my “almost there” pics… this shirt is AE xs, my jeans are a 7.. if I pull them out at my waist there’s a good 5″ in them.. lol! So a belt is a must!

My hair is pulled back and a mess, “mother nature” is here and i’m bloated, but whatever… it’s all good! LOL! You can see (or at least I can) that I still have a bit of my “sides”… I don’t think they classify as “muffin tops” anymore, But it still bugs me… so I would like to lose another 6-10lbs to get rid of that… i’m excercisng daily, and am going to start making sure I get in 5 days of Abs every week… hopefully that’ll help! I have some good abs starting as you can prob tell under my shirt, but i’m dying for that flat tummy and no sides! lol!

Oh.. on the exercise fronts, i’m doing awesome with the Wii 30 day challenge.. haven’t missed a day yet, and upped it to high intensity to get a better workout.. but man.. they sure like those lunges!! My legs/knees are definitely feeling it! Here’s a few screen shots from my last 2 days…

And last nights workout…

Not bad! I’m having a lot of fun with it! For my “off” days i’ve set up a cardio routine… it’s all running, kick backs, knee ups, etc… so i’ll do that for ‘bonus’ points.

Well that’s it for today! I’m off to finish up dinner and tidy up a bit.. have a fabulous night!!!
