Skechers 'Shape-Ups'

Today was weigh-in week #33. I gained 0.4lbs. No comment.

Instead I will focus on positive things. Like food and my brand new walking shoes!

Firstly… food! I love food. I have a strong feeling that this loving food thing led me to where I am today. Non? Don’t get me wrong, I still get cravings for those certain sweet or salty or fried things, but I am learning that I am happier eating those *gasp* healthy foods. In fact, I prefer them. My body is lighter and runs more smoothly with the things I am fueling it with now. Amazing, isn’t it? So without further a-do, here is a sample breakfast, a sample snack,  and a sample lunch of the meals that I’ve eaten this past week. Unfortunately, I failed at getting a picture of dinner so um… well – I’m leaving it out.

B-fast Pic #1

B-fast #2 (same as above but in a different angle) -- this consisted of 2 egg whites + tomato on a whole wheat wrap with an iced coffee. YUM-O

Snack - yoplait light yogurt, blueberries + strawberries, & fiber one cereal

Lunch - chicken with bacon cheddar cheese and brown rice (healthy choice meal)

As far as activity goes, let me be the first to own up to the fact that last week was a total bust. Enough said. I refuse to dwell on the negative thought so I’ll end this here. I went to the mall today and came home with a pair of the new Skechers ‘Shape-Ups‘. At first, it was very weird trying them on. I loved the height it gave me… (I’m 5′0″ – again… ’nuff said), but what surprised me was how comfortable they were. Granted… I was only trying them on in the store and I probably walked around a few feet of the store, but the true test will be once I hit the NYC streets come Tuesday morning. You better believe these babies will be on my feet. As a commuter, I walk. And I walk a lot. And if you commute in NYC, you know that some of those blocks are not the easiest to walk on. Why not fit in a work out while I go about my daily business? Feel me?  So again, let me end it here with some pictures…
