It’s September 1st, which marks the start of my 21-day Clean program! I have to admit I was NOT happy about starting this morning! (but who is ever happy about giving up TWO meals a day??) What’s keeping me going is the idea that I will gain control over my behavior with food, and I look forward to seeing the results of my hard work! I plan on being a BUFF BRIDE!
Time is seriously ticking for me… my wedding is in 38 days!! Gulp.
I am feeling majorly ambitious right now, and think I’m going to earn a few “brownie points” the next couple days– I’ve decided to kick-off my program with a mini-juice fast. So far, I’ve only been in the mood for watermelon juice today, so I figured I might as well just go with it. I scheduled a colonic for Thursday afternoon (the day before I’m travel-bound) so I figured I could juice fast through Thursday, and release some major toxic waste! If for some reason the juice fasting doesn’t sound good to me anymore, my back-up plan is to do green smoothies for lunch instead. That will slow down my detox, but still keep me in a higher state of detox than I would be if I were actually eating. Since I’m going to be traveling for the next two weekends, I figure I need all the extra help I can get!
This is going to be a true test of how much a slightly overweight person can lose in the matter of 21 days. I’m taking it upon myself to be my very own “guinea pig” to see just what the human body is capable of– with the right nutrition and elimination tools! I have high hopes!!
