My weight loss attempts started with I was in high school and carried on through my adult life and I was never very successful.  Sure I would lose weight 10-20 pound but it would eventually return and add some weight as we went.   Only twice in my life do I recall being “fit” not thin and that was when I did the Atkins diet and lost close to 50 pounds but again gained it all back plus some.  The other time was when I got married,  I had just graduated from the police academy and was in shape, running 3 miles a day and feeling good.  I married my wife 2 months after graduating and moved out-of-state so was unable to persue law enforcement and thus lost my motivation to keep the weight off.

At my peak 2 years ago (almost exactly) I weighted 348 Pounds and on a 5′10″ frame, well lets just say that I was huge.  I had been spared any diseases associated with obesity but was told that I f I did not change then I would more than likely get some of them.   So I slowly started to work on it, but did not get to motivated.   I got down to 320 after 1.5 years and thought that was good but I knew it wasnt.  So I started to do light walking,  exercise in general is hard when you weight that much so I started slow and slowly it is starting to come off.  I started getting serious this last September.

On my youngest son’s birthday I started on the HCG diet and in a matter of 2 months I lost 25 pounds and I have kept it off thus far.  I am currently starting on my second round in hopes of getting to a weight where I can start running again.  Stay tuned and I will up date you on how I am doing.
